Wētā Workshop Studio/Brand intro The Lord of the Rings trilogy won seventeen Academy Awards. Wētā Workshop was intrinsically involved in the design and physical effects manufacture for all three films.
Product Intro The process of making a film is oft an ever-changing journey. One such changed aspect was the helm worn by the Witch-king during The Return of the King. Whilst this first design was manufactured, and even had scenes shot, it was ultimately decided that its likeness to Sauron's own helm might be perplexing for the audience. Therefore, it was replaced with the Morgul Lord War Mask seen in the final cut of the film.
Product Description (flavour text) "Greatest of the Nazgûl was their leader, the Witch-king of Angmar. Once a mortal man lured by the promise of power, the former King of Men fell under the sway of Sauron until he was little more than an extension of the Dark Lord’s presence, his own identity long forgotten.
A formless wraith, fear was his greatest weapon, and it was said that by the hand of no man would he fall. For centuries he served his dark master, leading the campaign that saw Arnor destroyed in the north and bringing war to Gondor in the south. Even being sealed in a magically warded tomb could not contain the Witch-king, who was recalled from beyond the grave to serve his master again."

Product Intro The people of Rohan were known to outsiders as the flaxen-haired Rohirrim, or Horse-lords, in reference to the close affinity they enjoyed with their horses. Indeed, there were no finer riders among all the tribes of Men. The Eorlingas, they named themselves, as followers of the Line of Eorl, who founded the kingdom of Rohan.
Product Description (flavour text) A proud people, they lived mostly in small settlements scattered across the plains of The Mark, as Rohan was also known. The greatest of which was Edoras, where King Théoden dwelt in the last days of the Third Age. During the War of the Ring, Théoden led the Rohirrim to Helm’s Deep when they were betrayed by Saruman the White, and later lead a great host of Riders to the aid of Gondor where they helped save the city of Minas Tirith. The Rohirrim resisted Sauron, fighting alongside their Gondorian allies at the Black Gate, and affirmed their alliance in the years after through the marriage of the Lady Éowyn of Rohan to Faramir, Steward of Gondor.
