Cpl Brian Hebert, 21-years old from Benbrook, TX, a Data Network Specialist attached to Headquarters and Support Company, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, throws a training hand grenade during a hand grenade obstacle course in Djibouti, Africa March 10. This obstacle course is part of a live fire range set up to familiarize and track the proficiency of individual Marines with multiple weapon systems to include the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon, M240 Gulf, AT-4 Rocket Launcher, M203 Grenade Launcher, as well as the use of hand grenades. At the culmination of the 3 day evolution the Marines will be tasked with taking down a bunker or strongpoint utilizing all of the weapons they have trained on.
