Dio- “Before He Was Known as the Desert Fox”
General Rommel and some officers and units of his 7.PzDv.
Belgium, 1940

Here is a recent set up with various elements of the 7.PzDv in the early days of the action in the west in 1940.

I made some changes of the poses and positions of the vehicles as I went along. Eventually got everything a bit closer and I turned a little some of the turrets. This is tha last position overview of the scene. On the background (left to right) a Krupp Protze that brought the Schutzen troops near the vehicle, an Opel Blitz from an unspecified unit, 4 motorcycles from the 7.Motorcycle Battalion(the motorcycle troops have dismounted and are not seen here) and a Sdkfz 222 from the 37.Reconnaissance Battalion. On the foreground (left to right) a Kubel that brought Rommel and some of the other officers, a PanzerII from the 1st Company of the I Battalion of the 25th Panzer Regiment, a command Pz38(t) also from the I Battalion and a Panzer I from the HQ group of thesameunit as the PanzerII.
General Rommel is in the center, only wearing the medals he had earned during WWI. To his right is one of his Panzer company commanders, Adalbert Schultz. To his left is the Lieutenant Colonel that commands the 7.Schutzen-Brigade.
