（巴格達訊）伊拉克和美軍部隊週日對伊拉克中部城市瑪丹採取了營救人質的軍事行動，成功救出數十名遭到回教遜尼派武裝份子挾持的什葉派人質。
在伊拉克遜尼派及什葉派領袖嘗試建立聯合政府的當而，這起挾持人質事件已引起兩派可能爆發鬥爭的憂慮。
伊拉克國會週日開會，不過新政府估計將不會在本週結束前公佈。
國防部一名官員對《法新社》表示，警察部隊在以美軍為首的盟軍支援下，於當地時間週日早上9時攻入瑪丹市，並遭遇到恐怖份子的抵抗。
他說，政府軍隊成功奪回半個城市，救出大約10到15戶遭到挾持的家庭。截至目前為止，駁火行動尚在進行中。
