Hf7 Stahlfeldwagen

I actually finished this project in may of 2016 but never got it outside to take pictures because I didn't want to go to the trouble of putting it all together outside. So now I've spent a couple hours out in the Humid Florida Heat to take pictures of three projects I'll be sharing with you. I started this one after seeing Panzeriv's Diorama featuring a pile of horses with Infantry crossing a Bridge. I thought "This guys got all these Horses and I don't have one!" It started he on research of who makes 1/6 scale horses, how good are they and how much do they cost. I eventually ended up with two Dragon,One Formative and one fancy articulated one my Wife got me for Christmas. Can't remember who made it. So of course I hade to build a Wagon for Horses to pull and decided on the HF7 Stahlfeldwagon. This was a steel Wagon that could haul 1.5 tons. It used wheels that looked like the front wheels of The SdKfz 250 Halftrack. It was made to be pulled by two Horses so it ended up being known as the "Horse Murderer" because the load was pretty heavy. Units would often hook up to six horses to them when possible. The model is made from Styrene with Armor Hobbies Wheels with Panzerwerk Hub kits.

I combined my three projects into one Unlikely Photoshoot. Here is the Hf7 Wagon in finished form outside with Horses Hitched. My Leatherwoork is very amature but I think it looks OK. The wagon also carried a towbar so it could be hooked up to a Vehicle too.
