Castle Keep

Sydney Pollack's Castle Keep is one of my favourite war movies of the 1960's. Made at the height of the Vietnam war it is not just another anti-war film, it's a beautiful example of postmodern cinema.
Lancaster plays Maj. Abraham Falconer, the gritty leader of a bunch of misfit soldiers during the Battle of the bulge who find shelter in an ancient castle.

If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.
