CAMP TAJI, Iraq (May 28, 2008) - Lt. Col. Richard “Flip” Wilson, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., listens to security concerns from leaders from the 36th brigade, 9th Iraqi army division. The IA and Soldiers from1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment “Wolfhounds,” 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, work together to ensure the safety and security of the Taji Qada, northwest of Baghdad. Wilson commands the “Wolfhounds” and has been working with the Iraqi Army to ensure that this region remains secure to provide the government of Iraq the opportunity to provide essential services to the residents. Abeyta, 20, a rifleman with Company K, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 5, from Clayton, Calif., provides security during a census patrol in the city of Bani Dahir, Iraq. Marines with Company K walked through the city questioning multiple people about their feelings towards Marines and Iraqi policemen. Marines also handed out candy to children in the city during the patrol. The people interviewed had nothing but positive things to say about Marines and the IP. Photo by Cpl.
