Ambati, a corpsman also with 3rd Plt., stand watch during the Hold process of Clear Hold Build exercise Aug. 19, 2009, on Range 210A at Marine Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, Calif. 3/24 is here for Enhanced Mojave Viper, mandatory training for all Marine units deploying to Iraq or Afghanistan in support of Operations Iraqi or Enduring Freedom.
Capt. Capt. Patrick K. Temple, the Company K commander, 3rd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, speaks to the local Sheik of the Dulaymi Tribe for the Build process of Clear Hold Build exercise for Enhanced Mojave Viper, mandatory training for all Marine units deploying to Iraq or Afghanistan in support of Operations Iraqi or Enduring Freedom. The Sheik is asking what the Marines plan to do about the houses and structures destroyed during the Clear process. This simulates what the Marines may witness during their deployment to Iraq. 3/24 is scheduled to be the last infantry battalion to deploy to Iraqi, active or reserve
