World War 1 Roman legionnaire-Alternate history
On 28 June 1914 the heir to the throne of the Roman Empire was assassinated in Sarajevo, Bosnia by a Serbian National. This event had a domino effect and plunged the nations of Europe (and eventually the world) into a global war, the likes never before seen.

At the onset of war, Germany, the Ottoman Turks and the Roman Empire were allied against France, Russia and Great Britain.

This figure represents a typical Roman legionnaire Pioneer in 1914. The Romans were the acknowledged masters of engineering and had the most proficient Pioneers, and Sappers.

I got to thinking about what a modern Roman soldier would look like and from there decided to place him in a WW1 setting. Some of the gear is obviously antiquated but I wanted him to still look like a Roman.

Enterbay Body
Soldier Story head-repainted and modified to fit on Enterbay body
Cotsworld WW1 armor
DID backpack-repainted
Twisting Toyz rifle, boots and ammo bandolier-repainted
Dragon WW2 Russian uniform-dyed
Ignite helmet and other equipment-repainted

Scratch built base
